First set was off the hook, what a way to start the run. They just shined from start to finish at Radio City Music Hall. Bravo!!!
And thank you Joe Beacon for the top-notch recording, it sounds perfect.

What can I say.....another great night on this tour. Masterpiece was beautiful, done as it was meant to be done. My first Viola Lee Blues and it rocked !! Shakedown, Two Djinn, Help/Slip/Franklins, NJT train to NY not as bad as I remember from 1980. Show was top rate, however, a whole lot of people pushing and shoving inside radio city was not cool. Can't wait for SF and just sent in mail order for summer tour this AM Peace

superb! jk gives two djinn a terrapin-era and victimy vibe. the song sounds as it should, and upon listening now, i realize that if they can bring two djinn to that level, the whole band is firing on a higher plane! rcmh nights were back to back homers for sure.

Wow...what a great set. Lots of traditional 2nd set songs in the 1st - I love how they shake it up like that now. Guessing tunes used ot be so easy! No way anyone saw that Let it grow > HSF coming!!!
These recordings have been a blast to listen to as I await them coming out to Chicago for 2 shows. Just don't blow your whole wad out east, fellas! JK's DSO roots are in Chicago - I used to see DSO every Tuesday at a small dive bar when they first started in the late 90's in my post- Jerry mortum years - so he's gotta make Phil/Bobby show us some love when they get here!
I myself loved the Warren Tour, contrary to some, but seeing these clips, hearing these shows...people seem pretty high on this lineup. I can barely contain my excitement for next week. good luck with work between now and Tuesday!!!

First set was strong. Second set was where they poured it on New York style: really amazing. Finally got to dance to a Hard to Handle. They have tightened up nicely on this tour. Even the slow song, Days Bewteen, was good.
Last time I was at Radio City was Halloween 80. The second set last night was as fun as I hoped it would be. Thanks Beacon Joe.

Subject: RADIO CITY - 30 YEARS LATER - COLD RAIN & SNOW
The last time I was at Radio City was 30 years ago when I was 13 for the shows the GD did there. Three hours of dancing plus walking a dozen blocks back to Penn Station in the COLD RAIN AND SNOW seemed alot easier back then ( minus the snow being the 1980 shows were in October) My review of this show is summed up with one word - WONDERFUL. That's it, can go to the 2nd night but I'm hitting the Trump show. Happy Birthday to Phil next month - the big 70.
To those heads who gave up and stopped seeing shows after Garcia passed treat yourself.IT'S REAL GOOD STUFF !!!
